Product principles
upwin is subscription software for independent professionals who sell their services on Upwork. It is built and run by Ayoub Fedil, an independent developer based in Morocco: a web app and Chrome extension for reviewing your own profile, qualifying projects, preparing editable proposals, and learning from outcomes. upwin does not host listings, connect businesses with freelancers, or send anything on your behalf.

Who builds upwin
upwin is built and run by Ayoub Fedil, an independent developer based in Morocco. The same person writes the code, answers support email, and decides what the product will and will not do, so a question sent to support reaches someone who can change the product.
The product focuses on the work that happens before a proposal is written: a clear profile, an honest read of each project, and a record of what actually worked. Writing faster helps less than knowing which projects deserve a proposal at all, and upwin is built around those three habits.
Why upwin never submits anything for you
upwin can prepare an editable proposal draft and copy it to your clipboard. It never submits a proposal, sends a message, or clicks a button on Upwork for you. Every word that reaches a client is one you have read, changed if needed, and sent yourself.
There are two reasons. Your Upwork account and your reputation belong to you, and automating actions on a platform you do not control can put both at risk. Clients also respond to proposals written by a person who understood their project. A tool that sends on your behalf makes that harder, not easier.
How your data is handled
The Chrome extension reads the page you have open only when you start a capture, and converts it into structured text before sending it to upwin. It does not poll, scroll, click, or navigate. It does not read your Upwork cookies, call Upwork internal APIs, or look at other freelancers' profiles.
To run an analysis or prepare a draft, upwin sends the text that feature needs to an AI model through llmgateway.io. Raw page HTML is never sent to a model, and the scoring rules stay in upwin's own backend, not in the model. upwin does not sell personal data. Payments go through Creem as Merchant of Record, so upwin never receives your card details. The privacy policy lists every provider and explains how to request access or deletion.
